Present Continuous - Questions
Instructions
- Person 1 will ask a question to Person 2.
- Person 2 will answer in a complete sentence, using the present continuous tense.
- Person 2 will then ask the same question to Person 1 (or Person 3 if there are three people in the group).
- Move to the next question once everyone has answered.
Questions with Be - Irregular Verb
- Definition: To exist in the world, or to describe someone or something.
- "How are you being different this semester compared to last semester?"
- "In what way are you being a better friend/family member/student these days?"
Questions with Have - Irregular Verb
- Definition: To possess, own, or hold something.
- “What class are you having the most trouble with right now, and why?"
- "What kind of weather are we having this week, and how is it affecting you?"
Questions with Go - Irregular Verb
- Definition: To move from one place to another.
- "Where are you going after this class, and what will you do there?"
- "What new place are you going to for the first time soon?"
Questions with Do - Irregular Verb
- Definition: To perform an action or task.
- "What are you doing to improve your English outside of class?"
- "What’s something you’re doing these days that you didn’t do before?"
Questions with Want - Regular Verb
- Definition: To desire something but not necessarily require it.
- "What food are you really wanting to eat right now, and why?"
- "What skill are you wanting to learn these days?"
Questions with Need - Regular Verb
- Definition: To require something because it is necessary or important.
- "What are you needing to buy soon, and why?"
- "What’s something your school/dorm is needing to fix or improve?"
